CITIZEN ARCHITECTS

Making a Difference

DREAMS DO COME TRUE

A HUGE THANK YOU to the San Diego Architectural Foundation for raising funds on behalf of SDNOMA for a new scholarship.  This scholarship will support one BIPOC high school student's dream to pursue a career in the AEC industry.  The SDAF's 44th Annual Orchids + Onions Gala raised $7,500 and we will be doing more fundraising to reach $10,000.  Stay tuned!

Women Voting

On Oct. 14th at the 44th annual Orchids + Onions Virtual Gala and the San Diego Architectural Foundation partnered with SDNOMA to make a real and positive change in the community.  Together we are raising money to fund a scholarship to support one young design student's college dreams.  The Virtual Gala brought in $7,499 and through additional fundraising we will bring the amount to $10,000. This is one of our key areas of focus here at SDNOMA, and a source of much excitement for our chapter. Get in touch with us today and see how you can lend a helping hand with this program.

ABOUT SDNOMA

SDNOMA knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. The totality of events in the first half of 2020 has laid bare the racial inequities that exist in our communities.  Together, the design community can be a force of change to overcome these challenges which is why we formed a local chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).
