SDNOMA started off in 2020 with (8) members who share a passion for design, love of San Diego and dedication to JEDI in the profession. Click on the link above for video.
A big thank you to Avery Caldwell and the SDSU Art Department for hosting the camp! We are also grateful to Isabelle Ringer and Derby United for sharing the story of what it took to turn an empty lot into a dream skating rink. Thank you to Skateworld for giving the campers a great indoor rollerskating experience. Much appreciation for Jaxon Statzell of California Skate Parks for giving kids a crash course on "tacos" and skate park design.

ABOUT SDNOMA
SDNOMA knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. The totality of events in the first half of 2020 has laid bare the racial inequities that exist in our communities. Together, the design community can be a force of change to overcome these challenges which is why we formed a local chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all who care about design, community and progress.
Membership is for the calendar year Jan. 1 - Dec. 31 and is not prorated.
As a new chapter we are still coordinating registration with NOMA national. SDNOMA is not yet listed in their registration system as a local chapter. Please check-in with us at together@sdnoma.com for membership.
Membership is made up of both local chapter + national dues.
For example, a registered architect's dues would be $325 ($250 to NOMA National + $75 for SDNOMA).
A student's dues would be $60 ($45 to NOMA national + $15 for SDNOMA).
