Join SDNOMA and Prismatica Architects for an exclusive tour of two ADU’s under construction in San Diego.
Led by Jose Garcia and Jesus Limon, Prismatica is re-inventing ADU delivery by doing both the design and general contracting of the structures. Tour size is limited so please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
SDNOMA started off in 2020 with (8) members who share a passion for design, love of San Diego and dedication to JEDI in the profession. Click on the link above for video.
A big thank you to Avery Caldwell and the SDSU Art Department for hosting the camp! We are also grateful to Isabelle Ringer and Derby United for sharing the story of what it took to turn an empty lot into a dream skating rink. Thank you to Skateworld for giving the campers a great indoor rollerskating experience. Much appreciation for Jaxon Statzell of California Skate Parks for giving kids a crash course on "tacos" and skate park design.
Check out last year's program and photos below.
We couldn't have done that camp without great supporters! Thank you to Miller Hull, Fundermax, Steinberg Hart, HED, CO Architects, Ware Malcomb, Robi4Architects, Erin Persky and Associates, Morengo Morton Architects and Rutledge Haro Design.
The scholarship application period has closed.
Thank you to all who applied!
SDNOMA knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. The totality of events in the first half of 2020 has laid bare the racial inequities that exist in our communities. Together, the design community can be a force of change to overcome these challenges which is why we formed a local chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).
"We walk in outer space, but we can't walk the streets of Cicero"
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Membership is open to all who care about design, community and progress.
Membership is for the calendar year Jan. 1 - Dec. 31 and is not prorated.
As a new chapter we are still coordinating registration with NOMA national. SDNOMA is not yet listed in their registration system as a local chapter. Please check-in with us at email@example.com for membership.
Membership is made up of both local chapter + national dues.
For example, a registered architect's dues would be $325 ($250 to NOMA National + $75 for SDNOMA).
A student's dues would be $60 ($45 to NOMA national + $15 for SDNOMA).
Intern (0-3 years) $140
Associate (3+ years) $175
Registered Architect $250
Allied Professional $250
