Mentorship Committee

The Mentorship Committee connects members with mentors, providing guidance, support, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally within the design community.

Our Vision

Investing time, knowledge, and mentorship to empower others to grow into their most creative and confident selves within the design and construction industry.

Fourth Rule

Mentee and mentor share one thing gleaned from their connection during the year at our end of year SDNOMA general body meeting. 

5 Rules of Engagement

First Rule

All mentees will be assigned to a mentor for one year.

Second Rule

Mentees and Mentors must communicate at least one time per month via:

  • Phone

  • In-person (i.e. lunch, shadowing at the office, coffee at Starbucks)

  • Video Call

  • Emails, text messages, and any non-verbal communication do not meet this criteria

  • Encouraged to connect more than once per month

Third Rule

Mentee & Mentor conversations should stay private unless both agree it’s ok to share with others.

Fifth Rule

Mentees and mentors should honor scheduled meetings and communicate promptly if they are not able to join a scheduled meeting.
